How Long have you owned your horse? Since 1987 and while I was in
college and moved on to another horse George was leased to Jess Luedemann who made the short go at the National High School Finals and than he went on to live with Meuwissens for several years and was a winning mount for Heidi. Thank you Meuwissens for taking excellant care of George for us. We brought Geroge back home in 2006.
What do you feel is unique about your horse? George may not of been the
first one you would pick out for a prospect, but he has a heart of gold and has the desire to please greater than any horse I have come across.
There would be times at the quarter horse shows that he would get run 8 times in a day for the youth and open--and barrels and poles. It would not unusual for George to win 6 of those classes and place high in the other two. There just is not many horses that could take that both mentally and physically. It was just like any other day for him.
What sort of activities do you and your horse participate in? Currently
George is semi-retired and was Adelines (age 6)mount at Little Britches rodeos and jackpots in 2007 and hopefully Braydens (age5) mount for 2008. Although Brayden would like to haze for his Dad in the bull dogging at rodeos with George.:)George enjoys hanging out with the broodmares and foals.
Fun facts/stories about your horse: George has a wonderful personalty
and is one of those horses that people never seem to forget. It never fails--I will run into someone I have not seen for years and the first thing they ask is How is old Gray?
What do you feed your horse? Currenly he is on Equine Senior and all
the hay he can eat. He is also feed United Vet Equines: Senior Flex, Omegas and Pro Weight.
Hint to help people guess: He was just added to the Minnesota Barrel Racings Hall of Fame.
